A lot of my favorite bands are power trios. I wanna be in one of my own someday! But I’m still figuring that out, so thank goodness for overdubs. ’Cept I don’t play drums. Or bass. So here’s this weird mishmosh EP of squelchy, sludgy improvisations.

It’s made up of three solo improvisations from each of the instruments (banjo/trumpet/synthesizer, all through live effects), and six trio songs layered in each combination of order, e.g. banjo trumpet synth, banjo synth trumpet, trumpet banjo synth, etc.). Each track of each song was affected and recorded live, with mixing and mastering being the only editing in post. Making this all day felt like playing with Legos for hours as a kid.

100% of the proceeds of this release will go to various fundraisers directly helping victims of the Highland Park, IL shooting and promoting gun control (depending when they are received and the fundraisers’ statuses).
